Intimacy

Genesis 18:19 says…

(paraphrased) that God knew Abraham, in order that he could command his children and household after him, to keep the way of The Lord.

The goal of this ministry is to connect these children with God intimately. We want their choices and decisions in the future to flow out of this relationship. So we in turn must also stay close to Him, prayerful about the ministry and even preparing the atmosphere in the room before each meeting. As we apply the tools we’ve been given, heart bucket, unzipping heaven and soaking it will help us connect them to Him. Of course, and also asking Holy Spirit to guide us as we’re putting our lessons together.

Joy

Nehemiah 8:10 says…

…the joy of the Lord is our strength

In working with children we need to have fun and be full of His Joy! Children are full of energy. They live in a sight and sound generation where everything moves at a fast pace. It’s important to really seek Him when preparing our lessons plans. Have presentations that are very innovative and creative. Everyone needs to be involved. The children must see more than one face and personality up there teaching, to make it interesting and keep their attention.

Love

1 Corinthians 16:14

…let all that you do be done in love

We must love these kids. Everything we do should flow out of a heart of love. I’m praying that He would give us a Mothers or a Fathers heart for them, so full that we’d overflow.

Soldier

2 Timothy 2:3

…you therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ

Every army must be disciplined. They can’t receive properly unless they are postured to receive. I want them to know I’m giving them treasures from Heaven and I don’t want them to miss out. So I’ve implemented “Two strikes you’re out”. If they’re disruptive put their

name on the board and the second time they go to their parents.

Disciple

Matthew 28:18

….go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit…

We live in a unique place where we live amongst the nations. We have an amazing opportunity to affect the nations through these kids! So we must disciple. I also want to continue to activate and release the older kids to continue their development and interest

The Word

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart.

One of the greatest values in Kings Kids is to teach our children the word of God. We believe the word is inspired of God, and to walk in victory they must learn how to use their sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17 and 2 Timothy 3:16
We start instilling the Word in the children, by singing it and declaring it over the toddler group. From three to six years of age the children are learning bible stories and the testimonies of the greatness of God found in the word, they’re also learning how to apply it to their lives. As they get older there is more focus on memorizing the word. We challenge them to continue applying it to their lives as well. A very important aspect of Kings Kids is at about the age of ten or eleven years old, depending on the child, we start activating the kids, releasing them to help us teach the word to the children.

The Teachers in training will…

1) Meet with me for orientation.

2) Sit in on meetings prayerfully and observe a couple of times, to make sure this is where the Lord wants to position them.

3) If they know this is God, I will assign them to teams.

4) I will have team leaders train them, encouraging them and allowing them to work into

ministering at their own pace.

In conclusion…

I am so honored to lead such an awesome group of people! God has brought so many quality, gifted people together to train up His kids. He loves his kids and that’s way he’s chosen you to help disciple them. I love and value you also and I can’t wait to see what He does as we brain storm, pray and implement ideas He gives us to advance the Kingdom.
